Where are all the (not ugly) trash cans under $50?

Trash cans, waste baskets, bins...whatever you call them...they're an unpleasant but necessary modern convenience. We need them, and we use them constantly, but they're a bit of an eyesore.


95% of the time, you won't spot a trash can in a styled home photo. In updated kitchens, we've tucked them away in cabinetry. In bathrooms, you may only find one hidden behind the vanity doors. But there are still situations (in your office, living with kids, if you have an older kitchen) when the blest place for them is out in the open to see and show off alongside your decor.


It was a bit of a wasteland for shoppers looking for attractive trash cans under $50 until 2020... Queue a global pandemic and people spending more time than usual looking at their ugly trash cans, and suddenly Amazon and Target are full of them!


And we all (or maybe just me) said, 'Amen!'


Be sure to note the dimensions and volume to get an idea of what size you can expect to arrive at your doorstep. 10-13 gallon are kitchen size. Smaller is generally bathroom sized. Under 1 gallon is tabletop.
